Being Kingdom-minded means recognizing and submitting to the dominion and authority of God as our King. It also involves seeking to establish God's rule and reign in our lives and in the world around us. In this chapter, we see the Israelites rejecting God as their King and instead desiring a human king like other nations. This ultimately leads to negative consequences, as a human king cannot compare to the perfect rule of God. As Christians, we are called to prioritize God's kingdom above all else and to be obedient to His will.
This lesson focuses on the theme of love in the context of a digital Christian church experience. It begins with a quote from John 3:16-21, which speaks about the love of God and the importance of living in the light of truth. The church, called "Love in the Word Church," is described as a place where the love of God, the Word of God, and the care of God are central. The lesson then delves into the topic of the King, who is revealed to be love. The King's desire is to save people from themselves and to love the light. The King also values freedom and grace, and believes that faith in Jesus should express itself through love. The lesson then explores the idea of confusion, which is seen as the opposite of love. Confusion is caused by selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, conceit, and provocation. The lesson emphasizes the importance of avoiding these negative traits and instead focusing on love. Next, the lesson discusses the difference between conviction and guilt. Conviction is described as a supernatural tugging on one's soul, which leads to change, while guilt is a fear of judgment that can lead to self-condemnation.
