Students who choose this course must have completed the Old Testament and New Testament Survey (levels I and II of both series) or have some provable prior extensive background in biblical studies.. We would prefer that these students even have at least successful completion of 2-4 elective or standalone Bible Book course completions.
This course is an intermediate level course that focuses on the application of our practical faith by examining contemporary problems that try our faith. This course deals with many controversial, and polarizing concepts, principles, lifestyles, behaviors, and moral decisions of our day. This course exposes its students to practical apologetics that are often avoided in the Church for fear of offense. This course is very situational and provokes its students to apply the Principle of Conflicting Interests, as it was introduced in both the Old and New Testaments.
Successful students will come out of this course with clearly articulated positions of what our God thinks about our choices and how our God will have us act based on concrete examples found in the Holy Word. This course is a faith-builder and should leave it students determined to serve God, regardless of the culturally conditioned ways of the modern Christian church.
BspDr D was born in Maryland in the United States in the mid 1950's. He has been a Christian since birth, having been "born from above" during his 15th year. God called him in March 2019 in start an online, global, apostolic ministry to prepare God's people for the Matthew 24 age. He is well-accomplished and is still developing his spiritual gifts under the authority of God and delivering what he hears to those attending ABCS.
