Course Requirements

This course is designed to be a fast-paced and comprehensive course. It is a standalone “graduate” school course, so there are no course prerequisites for this course; however, Student must be accepted in the DD degree program AND purchase the Kindle Course book COX405. Due to the pace of this course, we recommend completing at least Introduction to Counseling, Pastoral Counseling I and II, and at least 1 practicum or have submitted and approved real ministry experience from previous or current leadership roles in ministry.

Course Description

Course Title: COX405: Advanced Biblical Counseling Techniques

Course Description:

COX405 is an advanced-level course designed for students pursuing in-depth knowledge and practical skills in biblical counseling within a ministry context. This course offers a thorough exploration of counseling principles grounded in Scripture, addressing the spiritual, emotional, and psychological needs of individuals and communities. The course is structured to guide students through the development and implementation of a comprehensive care ministry in a local church, with a focus on equipping volunteer counselors and managing counseling teams. Born in Maryland in the mid-1950s, BspDr. Douglass has been a lifelong Christian, experiencing his "born from above" moment at the age of 15. His journey in ministry has been marked by an unwavering commitment to teaching and imparting the unfiltered Word of God with clarity, depth, and apostolic authority.

In March 2019, he received a divine call to establish an online, global apostolic ministry, leading to the formation of LOVE IN THE WORD CHURCH INC. alongside his wife, Dr. Mary Douglass, and a core team of dedicated co-laborers in Christ. This dynamic ministry has since grown to impact over 2000 churches worldwide, emphasizing biblical literacy, spiritual preparedness, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

With an extensive portfolio of over 2000 sermons, video teachings, and 34 published books, BspDr. Douglass is a prolific writer and thought leader in the apostolic and prophetic realms.
